Thinking back on my hair...
I had my first bad hair day since I got it cut. And now I cant just pull it back. It ends up as a whale spout and most of it isn't long enough so it just falls out anyways. But I like it. I already know what I want to do next.

Kids here smoke. It's crazy.

A boy in my class was playing with a lighter in class I my attomatic thought was that he was going to get into seriouse trouble but then I realized, How else would people light their cigarettes.?!?

They even have a smoking area out back with a grody old couch and some benches. I've been there. Don't worry though, I will never smoke, ever.

Good news! I rode my bike with a skirt on for the first time today. Thank goodness for tights.
And I made more cards, but have yet to get any adresses. Hmmm.

On Sunday we went fot a walk in the woods near this hotel.

Spent the night at Caroline's and we made these. If you want a card email me or my mom (who can then email me) your info. Then everyone can share the joy!

Put your shoes out in the night with carrots (for S.K.'s horse) and in the morning they're filled with sweets and goodies! It's just plain old magic.

And every boat parade needs some safety. I mean really, there aren't even rails on the canals to keep you from falling in.

I went to Groningen Saterday with Sarah, Julia, and Tineke. There were a bunch of people sittingout in their pj's readingthe paper or having a cup of tea. Not sure why though ...

hair-cut

I cut my hair. It look great. And then I did some seriouse shopping. So happy.
And the amazing thing is yesterday I felt like crap. But today was 99% wonderful. Weird.

Today is really windy. I was actually blown off the road at one point. Good news! I passed my last geography test with a 7. something. The grading scale is 1 to 10with 5 as failing. Pretty good, huh? :) Some of the kids even applauded for me (the teacher reads everyones score out loud).

1 am and I'm updating this blog.

Why? It's a school night but I'm not tierd yet.

Today was good. It's exam week for me, but no stress because I don't actually have to do well on the tests :) So it's like an easy week with extra short days. I got home at about 11:15am. Did some sudoku. Then at about 2 I went over to Caroline's. More sudoku (am I spelling that right?), whitch is a suprisingly fun game, playing rather badly on their piano, and reading classic litureture turnd childrens comic books (in dutch!). Gaya was working this evening so I had dinner over there. Yum.

Anyway. Now I'm home, it's 1:20am, I've had a delicious bowl of yogurt and granola, and the TV radio is turnd to classical orchistra.

Goeden Nacht

Ploy and I mostly speak English together. She could probably do it in Dutch but I'm not that good yet :( We do some small talk and different phrases in Dutch.

So yesterday was Saint Martins (or Mathews?) day. Kids go house to house with lanterns and sing for candy. I bought three bags of chocolateto give out and not one kid came by. It's true I didn't get home till 7:30 because I had dinner at a friends but really? No kids.

So heres me, alone with a giant bowl of candy... you can guess the rest ; )

The library at my school ha an english section. Not big but good. I have never read so many classics in such a short period of time. 1984, The Pearl, The Red Pony, Animal Farm, I can't even remeber the names of some of them.

And 1984, I kept on trying to figure out how it was going to end happily. Didn't happend.

Went out with Ploy on Saturday. We had a good time. And I discoverd Coffeeshop Sacromento! Right here in Holland.

Pictures of the platform for the train I took home and a pidgeon. We got milkshakes and then Kabop (turkish: meat in flatbread with sauce and veggies). I bought A shirt, scarf, abd puse. Then had hot chocolate.

Cats. They may seem like minions of the devil but they are sooooo cute, sometimes.
