Tulip tip

What do you do when you have a nice bouquet of Tulips and you dont want them drooping after only a couple days of splendid glory?

Caroline has provided this nugget of knowledge for everyone:

  • Take a pin
  • Have your Tulips
  • And then just poke a hole (staight through!!!) each flower right at the top of the stem (near where the petals and stalk meet)

Somehow this keeps you flowers perfectly perky and fresh.

I have never heard this but I am going to try it when ours bloom. I like to take some to work so I can enjoy them during the day but they never last too long.
