Large windmill.
Did you know that you can turn the top to face the wind. I always wonderd about that.

Caroline, Sarah, and Albert.
At the example Peter Stuyversant was going to use when he built New Amsterdam ( now New York). It is a dirt wall that, back in the day, they put around villages and what-not for protection.
Spent the weekend at Carolines. They took me to Eindhoven, lichtstraat or light city. The home of Philips, a major brand that started with light bulb production.
And to Westerboek.
And Groningen, a large old city.

Hi Elise,
Is Caroline a friend from school?
The Anne Frank collection at the museum is interesting. I think many of us are saddened, and yet interested, in that period of history. I am glad you are able to see so many things in Holland.
PS...There is a working Danish windmill in Iowa. We knew they turned. :-)
Love,
Doty
